Letter to my Younger self

 Chop life MINUS hard work +over-spending=SAPA

 

In this life have money, always have your “shalaye” account to save emergency money, and not only money, but also material things to avoid unnecessary spending, (still remember to keep some pocket money) in fact, before spending the money or material thing, ask yourself 1) if it is worth it, 2)what value is it adding to me, 3)do I actually need it or I just want it if it doesn’t fit into any of the category, please just leave it(This doesn’t mean you shouldn't enjoy, be sure your shalaye money is intact before enjoying to avoid stories that touch when you are stranded)

The saying adulthood Na scam(a commonly used Nigerian term meaning adulthood is a scam) is partially true and partially not true.

True because when we were younger, some of us  use to think people easily get money, we weren’t introduced to the hard work they use to face while some understood the process of the hard work  ,buckled up and learn t how to save wisely .

Child Abuse and home training

Also, when we were younger, we used to think that the work given to us wasn’t fair   not knowing that it is home training,

Home training is when a child  or children are taught manners and basic social etiquette, also how to do basic house chores and being polite.

Child Abuse :Physical sexual or emotional mistreatment   that causes long term or permanent damage..

Home training: Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it(Prov 22:6).

When a child has home training, he becomes wiser and knows what to do ,why he or she is doing it and when to do what he wants to do, A wise child will also want to seek advise from people and is humble. GOD resists the proud(James4:6)

Like I said earlier home training also teaches you wisdom because  wisdom is profitable to direct, so wisdom will direct you in life in every step you take

 

Remember to avoid shalaye in the future and spend wisely, choose the right means of investments to invest your capital(money) into and remember to always have shalaye money that I talked about earlier because it will save you from unnecessary embarrassment, and have a piggy bank also,

You should also invest in other areas of your life like you health and well being, go for checkups, invest in your emotional and spiritual life too, avoid breakfast to be served to you,  that doesn’t mean you shouldn't approach the other gender to express your feelings, but your manner of approach matters and you should also try to sense people’s feelings and know when and how to approach them

Learn to be brave and bold with a sensitive spirit

 

Learn a skill  You also need to learn at least one hand work or skill and improve on it daily, laziness cannot take you anywhere, you can’t sit at home and expect money to come from somewhere you didn’t work,

WORK HARD AND PLAY HARD.

Learning a skill also gives you an edge among others, when you apply for a job or go somewhere that your skill is needed, you will most likely be the preferred one, because sometimes people or organizations love people that are skillful enough and ready to learn also.

Dress the way you want to be addressed I watched a video about two men and a C.E.O a long time ago, they were going for an interview for a mechanic job, apparently  one of them came in very neat, while the other one dressed like an actual mechanic, brought all his tools, and was looking all dirty like a typical mechanic will look like, the neat person didn’t get the job, while the stained man got the job, because he looked more like a mechanic than the other man, then during the interview with the two men, we also discovered that the car he fixed was the C.E.O’s car, the man that didn’t get the job also saw the old  man stranded but didn’t want to help, claiming he was rushing for an interview not knowing the interview was with the man who’s car was stranded, which is why I said home training in the beginning, it clearly shows that one has a skill that the other one doesn’t have.
